Welcome to the York and Willowbrook High School's Class Of 1960 web site.

What's New??

WE DID IT!

OUR 55TH YEAR CLASS REUNION

WAS

BY ALL ACCOUNTS

A TREMENDOUS SUCCESS!

The main reunion events were held at the Hyatt Lodge at McDonald’s Campus, a destination resort in Oakbrook, close to shopping, golf, and other points of interest. The hotel had beautiful open terraces, nearby wooded areas, and restaurants and bars on the premises.

We had a Friday night mixer, starting at 7 p.m. and closing at midnight in the Q Room. This gave us ample time to connect with classmates, to relive past memories, and to make new ones. There was a cash bar and assorted hors d'oeurves.

Our gala dinner dance on Saturday began with a reception and a cash bar at 6 p.m. in Hamburger University.  At 7:30 p.m. a beautifully displayed buffet offering chicken and fish entrees, a vegetable, Caesar salad and dessert began.  The photographer we had chosen came highly recommended and was  available for both individual and group photos throughout the evening.  We had also selected a wonderful DJ to play music from the 50s and 60s throughout the entire evening.

Elective Events

We also organized five possible elective activities which provided more chances to have fun and socialize with classmates.

The elective activities were:

  • An Architecture Tour on the Chicago River

  • Cubs game & Wrigley Field Tour on Friday

  • Town of Elmhurst Tour on Saturday

  • York vs. Willowbrook Football game Friday night.

  • Sunday Brunch
